Lesson terms
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms explain how lessons with Bearly Maths work. Booking a lesson means you agree to them. If anything is unclear, message Noah on WhatsApp or by text on 07368 621749.
Booking
- Lessons are 60 minutes, one-to-one and online, at the same time each week.
- A booking request isn’t confirmed until you’ve spoken to Noah and he has confirmed your weekly time.
- Lessons for students under 18 must be booked by a parent or guardian.
- When a weekly time is free for one week, it may be offered as a one-off lesson. One-off lessons follow the same payment and cancellation terms.
Payment
- Lessons are paid in advance. Before each lesson you’ll be sent a secure payment link, and payment is due before the lesson starts.
- The price is confirmed before your first lesson. You’ll be told at least a month in advance about any change.
Cancelling or rearranging
24-hour policy: cancel or rearrange with at least 24 hours’ notice and there’s no charge.
- How to cancel: message Noah on WhatsApp or by text on 07368 621749. The time your message is sent counts as the time you gave notice.
- With 24 hours’ notice or more: you can move the lesson to another free time, or you won’t be charged for it. If you’ve already paid, you’ll get a refund or credit for a future lesson.
- With less than 24 hours’ notice, or if the student doesn’t join: the lesson is charged in full.
- If Noah has to cancel: you won’t be charged. You’ll be offered another time or a full refund.
Lateness
- If the student joins late, the lesson still finishes at the usual time.
- If Noah starts late, the missed time is made up or refunded.
Stopping lessons
There’s no minimum commitment. To stop, let Noah know before your next lesson. Your weekly time is then offered to people on its waitlist.
Online lessons
- Lessons take place on a video call. The student needs a laptop or tablet, a reliable internet connection, and ideally headphones.
- For students under 18, a parent or guardian should be at home during lessons.
- Lessons are never recorded without a parent or guardian’s permission.
- For students under 18, arrangements about lessons are made with the parent or guardian.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. If a change affects your lessons, you’ll be told before it applies.
